That's because people are really ignorant. Arabs are an ethnic group. Muslims are members of the religion of Islam.

Not all Arabs are Muslim. Not all Muslims are Arab.

There are thousands of Jews and Christians in Arabia - and millions upon millions of Muslims outside Arabia. The world's most populous Muslim nation is in south east asia - Indonesia. Much of North Africa is Muslim, that's not Arabia either. There are millions of Muslims living in Europe and North America - it's a world religion like Christianity, not a racial/tribal religion like Judaism or Sikhism.

But anyone ignorant enough to say that they hate ALL Muslims probably isn't going to understand such complex issues as that - so yes, in all likelihood they probably hate everyone from the geographical region, as well as from the religion.

No. "Muslim" is a term for a follower of the Islamic religion. It's no more a euphemism for "Arab" than "Christian" is for "yank".
