JOE your reading it wrong.Your article tells why the leaf is green.I got this information from the Early Show. They had asked the weatherman at an earlier date why the leaves turn red.He did not know but the news station checked this out and reported that it has never been determined why a leaf turns red.

TIGRIS: Yes I can read, thank you for asking.I would like to know if you read what you posted.Much of what I read was speculation, and not facts.

I am not saying that they have not found out why we have green and yellow. It is the red that has not been determined.

Um...where have you been the last 30 years....it is the chlorophyll decomposing that creates the different colors...I learned that over 20 years ago
Also no one said monkeys turned into men
I really hope....for the sake of human species..that you are joking around because if there are people this ignorant in existence then 1) We found the missing link and 2) The Human race needs to become extinct as we're not worthy to live anymore.

No it makes no sense at all.
But than again, it just goes to show you how many and how often "Scientists" jump to conclusions.
The theory of evolution is just bad science.
In science we do not know why a leaf turns red.
All those people who said we do are wrong, we think it is a form of sunscreen but are not sure.
By the way I am also a Christian.

When the season changes, for example from the LONG summer days to the SHORT winter days, there is less light available for the plants to carry out photosynthesis. As a consequence, the chlorophyll pigment (which, by the way, is green) breaks down and reveals the other pigments that had been "hidden" by the green, more prevalent one during summer time (in some species the yellow pigments become unmasked, or orange pigments in others or red in yet other species).
Monkeys do not turn into man. The scientific community simply says that a really long time ago both men and monkeys SHARED a common ancestor. This means that this ancestor was not what we call today a monkey nor what we call today a man. It was a sort of "transitional being" if you will. Then with time this creature, due to environmental pressures, started to accumulate different mutations in its DNA which lead to its diversification or ADAPTIVE RADIATION which lead to speciation (two different species slowly arose for the "transitional being".) For example, take two groups of the same "transitional being". Imagine that due to an earthquake they are being separated from each other by a geographical barrier such as a deep and wide gash in the soil and that they are unable to cross it. Now they are not able to mate with the member of the other group so their genes are not "mixed" and passed on to the next generation (they could also become isolated by a river or by a mountain range...) Since these genes do not get "mixed", each group remains ISOLATED from the other and each will adapt to its own environment and its pressures. The pressure could be that one group is exposed to a lush environment with plenty of food, the other group is exposed to a dryer environment where food is scarce. Let's assume that this group has to rely, for example, on eating dry food such as nuts. With time the individuals of each group would become better suited to its own environment with the "weak", unadaptable individuals of each group dying out and leaving the "strong", versatile individuals to produce the next generation which would carry the same genes of their "strong", adaptable parents. In this way, the "transitional being" starts to diversify (at the molecular level, in its DNA) and two NEW species branch off from the once common "path" creating the so widely diverse "tree of life".
Fossils provide the evidence for this "story" since the skeletons provide a glimpse in the lifestyle of animals who lived millions of years ago (Bipedalism, walking on two legs, did not rise all of a sudden but it required slow adaptations to the changing environment--evidence in hominid fossils for this. In fact, monkeys and humans have different features in their skeletons which confirms the slow adaptation of each to its environment. These differences are in the way the bones of the vertebral column "attach" to the skull, in the bones of the spinal cord, pelvic bone, the bones of the legs, and the bones in the feet).

Um, two problems with your question:
1. Science can explain why leaves turn red.
2. No one in the scientific community, and I do mean NO ONE, believes men came from monkeys. We share a common ancestor with the other primates.
Please go read an elementary biology book.

A leaf has got many pigments, green, red and yellow.
In autumn, plant hormones (auxins) tell the chloroplasts to stop producing chlorophyl-a (the green one), and hence the other pigments start to show through.
But I agree with you, men were never monkeys.

Umm Ok where did you get that from?
Other colors, including reds, purples and their blends, are created by anthocyanin pigments. Unlike the carotenoids, these pigments are not present in a leaf all year and develop in sap cells by late summer.
And a monkey never turned into a man. Though there is this one monkey taht did stand and walk up right and smoke.

Leaves turn red or brown or yellow because they lose their chlorophyll.
Never heard of a monkey turning into a man though. Perhaps you can shed some light or expound upon that statement?

As salaamu 'alaikym, my il-informed friend.
Insha'Allah, might I recommend that you take a course in biology (start with the basics) and then move on to botany. Science can and does easily explain why leaves change their hues both during Autumn and when climatic conditions result in the lose of folliage.
Insha'Allah, during your biology course, you might also want to go to the college library and, with the librarians helps, check out a copy of "The Origin of the Species" by Charles Darwin and then read the same. As you will be in college, you can ask your biology professor to help you understanad what Darwin came to notice during his investigations and voyage as you currently have no knowledge nor understanding reagrding the same.
Insha'Allah, I will always find myself amazed by those person whose ego is so large and inflated as to make them feel that they can set limits on God (whether they adddress the same as Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, Trinity Father / Trintiy Jesus or YHWH) and how God might choose to create all of His creation. Sadly, these seem all too often to be the same persons who profess the belief that "their" God can do anything and has power over all things and then deny that He could employ the mechanics of evolution within His creative process without ever realizing the hypocracy of their beliefs.
Insha'Allah, God has blessed us with the ability to acquire knowledge and to utilize the same so as to be of benefit to ourselves and others, as well as to all of His creation. Further, God has Willed us knowledge. Would it not seem wise to accept the blessings of God and to use the same towards the good, rather than to refuse such a blessing and hide within the dark cave of ignorance?
May Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, guide us all to the truth for our salvation and for the benefit of all others.
Ma'a salaam.
Apparently the television show where you got your information from is filled with persons equaly as ignorant as yourself.
When you seek scientific knowledge, go to a college or univeristy not to your televion and the weather person on the same. (Did you ever stop to consider why the television is called the "boob tube"?)
Ma'a salaam
