YES
But one must look at this from a certain perspective or viewpoint:
Consider that there are 2 points of view
1) I am inherently flawed (A Sinner)
2) I am inherently whole complete and perfect
Now from a personal workability standpoint which is most likely to produce well being?
Now to the - "We are created in the image of God."
First one must ask - "Is God A physical-material being or something entirely unknown to us?"
Certainly God is not a mortal and material creature
If that's correct than what is he/she?
That leads to what is BEING in the first place?
That leads to we are also beings hence made in the image and likeness of God.
That leads to we are not actually physical creatures, we are only borrowing this body so that we can experience the material realm.
Inside of that one must ask several more questions:
1) Who am I
2) What am I
3) Where am I going
4) What is my overall purpose/mission
This is the Ontological Inquiry Into life and living - Didn't St Paul say "Do ye not know that ye are Gods?" Consider that the material/physical realm is merely a facade, a holographic image pasted upon the real face of consciousness and that we love to have experiences regardless of the outcome. That we can choose that experience in any format we want, with whomever we want and at any time we want, because we are beings of freewill.
Being is first cause - look it up in the dictionary
Enjoy your life - don't take it personally, its just a game and you are always winning the game you play!!!!

An image is more than a physical look (i.e. hair color, clothes, height) It is a sense of being. I do believe that humans were all made in God's image. We are not just like Him BUT we have his abilities to love and be peaceful as He. Humans don't always exercise these acts but we definitely have the capabilities. When we were first created we were perfect...it wasn't until the fall of man (adam and eve, etc.) that we were no longer considered perfect beings but in actuality flawed and sinful beings who now had to work harder to personify the image of God versus before the fall...it was easier. I don't know how to explain it but to make it simple...Yes..we were created in God's image.

Not everybody is now in Gods image. Why? God is Holy but man became sinners who prefer to follow satan. The image of God as Holy was no longer in that kind of man.
Yet many people do not believe in 'God so that shows they were not made in the image of God. The have dirty mind. The image of God is clear and pure to make it holy. Now a days could you see any man like the image of God? No more.

We are only partially created into the image of God. Jesus Christ is the only person ever created into the image of God. He was born of the flesh. Lived as a human and died. His resurrection in his glorified body made him the "first fruits" of the creation of man into the image of God. What he showed the world is for all who are called.

Yes we were created in God's image.
Not the other way around.
Not halfway, twisted and distorted.
...
God is spiritual. Many people believe that the Bible is talking about spiritually. We have eternal souls that will spend eternity one place or the other. We love, we are jealous, we have anger, we have the ability to forgive and be compassionate.
And he did create us complete.
We don't NEED telepathy or to be able to fly. To live on this earth and survive and even to enjoy life, we have what we need.
Also, He did create us perfectly. We sinned, and that is why things aren't perfect now. That is not God's fault.

A person can say "Yes" for sure... only if they have experienced the divine source of their own human existence... which is called the Soul in the West, and the Self in the East.
When that is known, then there is no question about it... we are really made in God's image.
This resource explains how a human can come to know that divine aspect...

Yes, I have read the work " In The Light of Truth" The Grail Message by Abdrushin. This work has helped in explaining many things to me.
If you're an earnest seeker, examine the work.

I think Adam was in God's image- when he was first made, male and female together. Then he was split in two. And it's been all downhill from there.
I also think the whole "in God's Image" is referring to our ability to create. To use our imaginations and our hands, to think up new ideas and make something that wasn't there before. I think that is our biggest similarity to God.

The only way that the image of God can be restored in man is to come to a saving knowledge of Christ. Restoration comes through the blood of the Lamb.
