But when she becomes a stenograher (as if that profession even existed any longer), she will be PAID, and with that income she will not have to follow the dictates of her "menfolk" on how to live her life. Men are just as well known for saying to their parents, "You're not the boss of me!" then getting a job as a gopher in an office or a pump jockey at a gas station.
