I think Islam and Judaism are the most similar. They both believe in a God and that Jesus was a good man. They also both still abide by law and feel they have to do good works to get to heaven.
Christians also believe in a God, but believe that Jesus was the Messiah. They also believe they get to heaven by the grace of God and not by good works. So, this one is not as similar as the other two.

There is no fundamental truth shared by all religions. Christianity is the only religion that offers eternal life. All others are merely imitations, but do not deliver salvation, which is the object of Christianity. Other religions offer no more than the average social club or service organization, and in most cases, less.

In my opinion, a fundamental truth of all faiths is to become closer to G-d.
G-d gave Jews the Torah to teach us how to do this. That is one fundamental truth. But it was only given to Jews. Others have other ways of approaching G-d. It's not for me to say which is best. I consider them all good IF they transform a person's life.

Probably something like a universal desire to be a better person. All religions seem to share a doctrine of personal improvement to a degree.
But only one religion begins with an empty tomb.

Actually Candian Atheist, Taoism doesn't believe in a God, nor does it mention an afterlife. So that is false.
There is religion that contradicts something in everything else. Sorry, but there is no common ground. Even karmatic belief is not shared by them all.

I can give you my thoughts, but everyone would just thumbs down me...
So I'll give you a cookie cutter answer of all religions believe there are supreme beings out there...except for Buddhists, and they're atheists, so they don't count as a religion.

That we ALL (especially atheist) are in need of a Higher power to intervene in our lives. If we're honest, we all have questions about life and need a divine source to guide us along the way. NOBODY is that smart who thinks they are self sufficient. They are in need the most.

That we all believe in something & live our lives according to the percieved rules of our belief. And by the way it doesn't have to be god that we believe & follow as some may suggest.
