I really just need to know why Athiests feel the need to attack Christians. It seems like every post that is in the religious section has someone attacking a Christian for their beliefs. I mean seriously why does it bother Athiest so bad that Christians believe in God?
I am asking a serious question here, I really don't want any ignorant answers (although i am sure that will happen anyway)

I am not saying that SOME christians don't attack Athiests! (which is not very christian-like might I add) I think that anyone who is saying something that is offensive towards another person needs to rethink their position. I have just seen on yahoo answers that the Athiests seem to attack anyone who has faith in anything. (That is just MY personal observation)

I did not mean to turn this into a huge fight...I simply wanted an answer about all of the hate that was on this website. I guess that my Real question should have been...Why does everyone need to fight about beliefs on here. Why can you not share your opinon without critisizm from anyone (athiests or christians)

Many atheists here are a little defensive, and that's understandable, because there's a lot of untrue statements about atheists circulating around this section that would make anyone frustrated or annoyed. A lot of people seem to think that atheists don't have any morals, are insecure, are too afraid to believe in God, had bad childhoods, are full of hate and bitterness... the list goes on and on. And that doesn't even include all the hell threats, and Christians constantly talking down to atheists, saying they need to be "saved", along with other condescending language.
Attacking people for their beliefs is never OK, but I'm just saying, it works both ways here.

I will not be mean, but I will be REAL.Are you saying that Christians posts are full of love? Are you selectively blind? If you care about truth, then simply scroll through a few pages of questions. If you cannot accept the fact that there is a VERY HUGE PLANK in the eyes of most christians here, you certainly won't get that you shouldn't worry the mote in my eye.Christians get plumb hysterically pissed off that atheists don't believe, all kinds of insults, simply for not believing something their own book says is nigh on unbelievable. That's why you are supposed to have faith. If it were halfway reality based, faith woudn't be such an issue. Is honesty important to you? Then prove it.Scroll through a few pages and admit the truth, the blind hatred for atheists expressed here. The questions TO atheists...funny how a Christian can possibly get "best answer"on a question that was directed TO ATHEISTS.That in itself makes no sense.Look around. We get told we have no morals, that there is some worldwide conspiracy by scientists with the theory of evolution, even though very simple reasoning should tell a 1st grader that the scientist who could DISPROVE TOE would certainly win a Nobel Prize, and his name would be assured in history.Simple reasoning doesn't matter to them.
Willful lies are another problem.Although there is not one who has not been shown the truth of our founding fathers deism, and the 1st ammendment, they repeat the mantra "This is a Christian nation".This is WILLFULLY lying,as opposed to lying from ignorance.Perpetuating a known lie is inexcusable, regardless the faith or lack thereof.Much more, but scroll a few pages, check out that HUGE PLANK in the hateful christian posts.Fix that plank, then worry about my mote.If you haven't read the bible, you won't know what I am referring to,and thus will make your point void.If you have read the bible...Do you not like that verse and simply ignore it?

Because they don't have the spirit of Christ living in their hearts.
A Atheist will not answer this way however, the real Atheist feel they are having to live under laws made by Christians, I say real because on this site there are a lot of what amounts to 'little kids', it is these kids that get get vicious and attack because they think it is funny and their parents haven't taught them to behave any better, they are left unsupervised to do and act as they please. It is why there is so much violence among children. It is prophesied in the bible.

Well, some atheists may do this I personally don't think that I have ever attacked anyone for their beliefs. I mainly answer questions soliciting my opinions with "Atheist" (although usually spelled athiest) in the title. It may be that some people feel attacked by those who have different opinions. I have though been attacked by Christians on here many times saying very nasty things. Many of the questions themselves are thinly veiled insults. I don't think though these people represent all theism.
You need to use your spell check, athEist not AthIest.

I promise i'm not googling right here. i don't agree that solutions to this are going to realize something. i'm a christian and that i will in basic terms answer question 3. i will supply it a crack besides. Christian Questions: a million) That concept of evolution is in step with "survival of the fittest". With the earth being so extensive, the environmental outcomes on species differed from place to place. permit's say that throughout the time of the Northern hemisphere foodstuff fell off a tree with a mild shake while in the Southern hemisphere it had to be pulled annoying from intense-up trees. living in the Southern hemisphere might mean that people who ought to climb and pull fruit from trees might proceed to exist and people who could not does not. So some monkeys devoid of the ought to conform survived. 2) i might wager that microevolution pertains to trouble-free adaptive alterations in a species while macroevolution capacity the extinction of one and the thriving of yet another. 3) compelled Christians to defend their faith and answer questions they does not have had to whilst the King only prescribed the national faith. 4) Mmmm... Atheist = against the theory of God Non-theist = not believing in a God good/susceptible = lively/Passive?

I do understand your concern. We are told that in the last days men will live not wanting to retain a knowledge of God in their minds. Even worse, many will depart from the truth (sound doctrine) and give heed to seducing spirits (false teachings) The atheists will of course wax worse and worse. Satan, the god of this world has blinded them just as we are also told in the Bible and they deny the very existence of God who says that they are without excuse as the very creation everywhere testifies of His existence. They laugh for now but the day of the Lord will come upon them and it will be too late!
Does not the Bible say "Be not deceived, God is not mocked. whatsoever a man soweth that also shall he reap" Galatians 6:7

The same can be said about Christians who attack Atheists by saying that we are going to hell for not believing in god.
Atheists are attacked more so just because we do not believe in god. Why is it so important for religious people to have everyone believe in something that does not exist?

Could it be because Christianity, and most other religions, have been and still are the cause of so much bloodshed over the centuries?
And before you claim not to condone such atrocities then why not challenge the more extreme adherents of your faith?
No fundamentalist will listen to a non-believer so it is those within that faith, like yourself, who should be doing something to stop it. And that includes those within the Muslim faith, etc.
Until you stand up to the more millitant believer then you will continue to be challenged by atheists such as myself. People like you have a respnsibility, which you choose to ignore.

The answer to your question is pretty simple, really.
Atheists clamor for all kinds of legislation and lawsuits because they think that innocent things like "allowing" a Christian child to have a moment of silence at school is somehow "forcing" Christian beliefs on the athiests.
They claim to want to PREVENT anyone forcing their beliefs on someone else.
Then at the same time, they file lawsuits that basically FORCE their atheist beliefs on everyone else.
Athiests do not just want to be allowed to have their own belief system. They won't be happy until they FORCE their beliefs on everyone else, in other words, they are pushing to make Atheism the "official state religion" of the United States.

Atheist are not here to attack anybody... Christians attack Atheists to conquer them for Christ... !!!! Why do the Christians rage like that?
Atheists have this platform to explain the facts of life... Christians depend on fairy tales that they want to impose on everybody... sometimes by force!!!! Christians can be killers of the most sadistic kind... as seen throughout history!
