He is a sweet and caring guy, and he really does make me happy. But he also can lie really well, and hasn't always been known to tell the truth. He used to talk bad about me, and was always confusing. But seems to be still really sweet and caring, and funny like when we went out in the beginning. And I truly care about him. It's been 6 months since we ended our relationship, and I have yet to get over him

I think you should not go back with him, because he may continue to lie! However, still be friends with him and continue to give him chances, and if he truly changes, take him back!

Sometimes it is ok to "not get over him", when you know the choice is a bad one. Nothing is worse in a relationship than lying and dishonesty is not a trait that is easily changed. It takes something radical like a religious conversion. If you've gone 6 months, you can continue on without him...

It is the prime requirement to build a relationship especially bonding is truthfulness between the persons.I have no idea whats the level of lying to you. If its white lie or to make some fun then its okay otherwise you must get rid of him.

Forget the lying S O B!. If he cant be truthfull what kind of future do u have? U will spend ur day worrying and wondering if he is lying or telling the truth. Not good

...don't go back to him coz he will just hurt you! If you go back to him he will just think that it is ok to you if he lie! He will just keep on lying to you! Then if you still not get over him keep yourself busy with your friends or something that would make you happy....Go girl! you can get over him...have fun and you deserves someone better...wish you goodluck...

It sounds like he might be a compulsive lier, which means that he just can't help himself. You are better off without these types of people in your life.

relationships have to be built on trust. if he is a liar then he isn't worth your trust. don't worry, in time you will realize that he isn't good for you and you will move on and find someone that makes you truly happy!
