India and Hinduism now is not what it was few centuries before...
Hinduism and India is becoming more westernised...
People are forgetting things that they actually should cherish....
They are looking for temporary happiness and temporary benefits of the western culture...
May be i think this is a well planned genocide of culture by the western missionaries....
They have made people to think all that is western are good and true and all that is hindu and indian are superstitious and false...
Few westerners who have understood the beauty and universality of the vedas have come to its rescue...
what the actual hindus failed to do....

All the "REAL" Scholars And Experts On Hinduism and The Vedas are INDIANS only.Indians alone has studied the Recitation of Vedham (Adhyayanam) with Meter (Chandas) Kramam(Order)and Ganam(Ganapaati),under an expert Guru(Teacher who knows the subject)and they study intensively in a Vedha Patasala(Vedic School) for 7 years. Now many young Vedic Scholars are Ph.ds in Vedham, like Dr.Vaidhyanatha Sivachariar,M.A., M.Phil.Ph.D.& many others.Your knowledge of Past and Present Indian Vedic Scholars seems to be inadequate and your information is in-correct and totally wrong. There were excellent scholars in Vedham like Senkaalipuram Anantharama Deekshidar, Paalaamadai sri Neelakanda Deekshidar, Prathivaadhi Adhibhayangaram Annangaraachari, Agnihotram Thattai, Raamanuja Dhaathaachari, Aangjnam Namboodripaad, Nerur sri.Swami Krishna Premi and there are many SUPER Scholars even today.Europeans mostly learned only the "Translations" from Indian Experts and wrote books and made a lot of money. If the Scholars enumerated above are Banyan Trees of gargantuan dimensions in Vedic knowledge, the Europian Experts you talk about are just Banyan seeds only.

Whensomebody in no way connected with Hinduism writes about it , it draws more attentioin .suppose an European in panchgajjam wearing a sacred thread and with a shaven head with a little tuft in the crown like a brahmin.walks on theroad in India or abroad what will happen? He will defintely catch theattentioinof the people much more than a real brahmin in similar condition.so the works of the Europen ae weel known to tthe educated Inidans much more than the works of the indian scholars .We do not car much about the work of our people and wonder at those of the outsiders .This is in our charcter .
However it is to be admited that the non-Inidan scholars who take upo thestudy of Hinduism and Indian classics do it with seriouness and greater devotion.
since the original sof our classics and vedas ar einsanskrit and the studyof sanskrit is nho much encourged by the most of the stategovernments out of prejudice against the Brahmins . most of our people have no opportunity to know the great wealth of oour ancient wisdom,. Prejudice has not done us any Good .Most of the Hindus themselves do not know why meaning ans reason of their own practices but they continue to preactice them.

Vedas in the past were kept within the circles of pandits dominated by brahmins! they zealously kept them out of the reach of majority of Hindus. the cast system prevailed over this and hence the religious knowledge for the non brahmins was limited of some Puranas and Mahabharata and Ramayana! after the colonial period it was easier for westerners to get and study Vedas! even now the 'mantras' in Sanskrit are not taught to non brahmins. there are some exceptions where non brahmins are accepted to learn mantras and officiate in temples like the state of tamil nadu!

With persons like Karunanidhi or Kanchi Sankaracharya or Lallu living in India, how can we have strong hinduism. They are all anti-hinduism and the greatness of the religion is atleast best understood by the westerners. I am glad.

Indian Hindus need not learn their belief.
But others need to learn as per their interest.
When Indian Hindu scholar are not there, other Nationals even if they are few in number, will be seen greater.

You are wrong in that the western scholars are best in objective analysis, where as Ithe Indian scholars are experts in subjective interpretation.
