(Note: When I speak of Christianity, I mean the religion in ALL parts of the world, as a whole, not just in a specific country)

Well actually there is a difference in Christendom and Christianity.

Christendom ie catholic, baptist, other evangelicals, are being hurt by its current actions and past. Reason is from the catholic church, since 2-3rd century they adopted pagan holidays and stuff. More modern evangelical churches have also do not completely follow the bible laws.

Mainly they mix with other religions and politics. They are being hurt because their actions in the world are now beginning to surface.

This rather is the beginning up of a clean marketing campaign. a lot of human beings do not understand that development a mosque on grounds that the muslims have conquered is accepted M.O. throughout the an prolonged time, each time the muslims have crushed an enemy, they have outfitted a mosque out of an old temple/church of the dropping element. they're attempting to do it back right here on American soil. i wish the NYc gov't realizes this and places a supply as much because it. there's no reason to have a mosque in a international commerce midsection. there are a number of different p[laces this mosque could be outfitted in the 5 boroughs if it rather is mandatory. by utilising the way, the only way i will stay under shria regulation is in a pine field.

Christianity is hurt by past actions. It needs to adopt the original faith & idealogy of pre-constantine time. The power hungry church accepted diversion just to please the constantine and they did not care about the true teachings of Jesus Christ.

Jesus was voted-in as Son of God in the Council of Nesea 325 AD! The Orthodox Christians (Jacobides) were slotered to eliminate the original faith?

I think the current action is also hurting. It is nothing but isolation of church and its pople! This isolation will not resolve the problem but create Chistian-atheists who may destroy the remaining Values.

Solution;
According to a substantial majority of Chistian scholars Man-Jesus is more strong and powerful than a God-Jesus! If Jesus is accepted as prophet of God then most of the contradictions in OT & NT will be removed and the faith may come to its original state.

If modern christiainty then yes it is totally hurt by its current actions because modern christianity has failed to give God the glory He deserves and has become so autonomous in its thinking that now days there is no Reformed Christianity and the word of God has been distorted to mans liking of the way he intreprets it. Something that Luther, Calvin, Augustine, and Vantil have tried to preach but has died in the last hundred years because nowadays man cant live by faith and just trust Gods word. Calvin said "Any man that tries to add or takeaway from the word of God damns himself all the more instead of relying on the word of God' what saith the word of God" I dont mean to upset anyboy we are in the last days and I tell you will scarcely find one out of a million who truelly believe wholle heartedly in life thru Jesus Christ. "I am the way the truth and the life and no one know me except the Father and no one knows the Father except me and whomever He wills to reveal to him" Mat 11 But I am a calvinist that believes in predestination and rely totally on Gods word and that by faith in Jesus Christ is the only way you can be saved and I have faith only by Gods mercy on my damnable soul and He only can give faith "While we were dead in our trespasses and sins He gave us life in Jesus Christ" Nothing I can do can save me and I cant choose to go to heaven only God can do so. And also Modern christianity is not being hurt or helped by past actions because its modern not ancient. But good question hope this helps

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2Corinthians 11:13-15

Yes, there has been an enemy working as an angel of light who has fooled many into believing they are walking in faith, but who are really just religious zealots. Religion has harmed the reputation of the true church because many people have killed and harmed others in the name of Christ. They thought they were doing God a favor, but their hearts and minds were not truly converted to the heart of God where love and goodness abound.
The scriptures do tell us that there is a time to tear down, a time to war, a time to cast away; and a time to kill and a time to die. What these things are pointing to is that we should aim at the destruction of false religions, false hope, false ego, false riches, false imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the truth. We destroy them but not through the actual act of killing people and this is where the zealot has errored. We tear them down through prayer and fasting and preaching and not violence, because when these things are torn down then we can plant, gather, live, and build up. We are then able to bring the LOrd his true harvest. So, some Christians are aiming for the tearing down to build up something more incredible and peaceful.

Good questions. Christianity never been hurt in any situation. But it is hurt, because of Church going Christians at all times. ie.If a teacher is instructing their students, "Don't smoke". But in the outside, in some situation, one student noticed that his teacher is smoking means, no result for his instruction. The world is expecting the Christianity should be as what Jesus said in the Bible. Hence, it is the duty of every christian to live as what Jesus said in the Bible. Then only the the present Christianity will be flurish like anything. The Bible tells us, in Galatians 5:22,The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. All the good characters in one heart. In Matthew 7:17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. If he/she is a Christian means, he/she should follow the footsteps of Jesus. SPSkumar, India.
