Management... They sure know how to make people feel good, don't they. Personally, if MY boss said that I'd feel a bit narked, but only because most of the time she's causing as much trouble as we are. But on the whole, it was just him/her trying out a way to make you listen.

No of course not. What do you want him to say - some kind of management speak bullsh!t cr@p straight out of an American management manual? At least you know what he thinks.

If it was said publicly to one individual (in front of others) then yes!!
if an 'outburst' of frustration (for whatever reason) no
managers are sometimes 'put upon' by their bosses and they do try to protect us sometimes - although at times like this it does not feel like that!!

It would depend on if it is true or not! it also depends on if you have done something bad and childish or you did the right thing. If you did what you thought was right yes, i would get a bit hurt!!

To damn right I would I would without a doubt take the manager to task over it demanding he / she explain themselves,,,,They pay for your time to do the job not your common sense,,that`s always extra,,remember it is they who profit from your skills not you,,,,,J,O,B,,,,,stands for "Just Over Broke" which is where they want to keep you,,,,

yep. Pompous little git. See some of them go on a little power trip and it goes to their head. They forget how to relate to people in a dignified manner because they can't cope with a little pressure. Just ignore him.

No, I wouldn't but your manager doesn't demonstrate good leadership. He/She is supposed to provide you with whatever you may need to do your job correctly, that is their job.
