The church is in Christ.

When one becomes saved, God adds him to His church. (Acts 2:41, 47)

One is not saved because they are in the church, but one is in the church because they are saved, added to the church when saved, and, therefore, one cannot be saved and be out of the church ( which is the body of Christ - Eph 1:22-23).

If you are out of His body are you in Christ?

John 3:16- 'For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not die but have everlasting life'.
Romans 6:23- 'For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord'

These passages clearly point to Jesus Christ as the saviour. Being that God and Jesus are one and the same (the trinity- Father, Son and Holy Spirit). The father in the trinity is God and the Son is Jesus. Jesus came to connect people more directly to God; people could formerly only come to God through the priests.

Salvation is a personal thing and is found in Christ. The bible says I forget where that your body is the temple of God. God dwells in the temple which means that God dwells in you...now, a church is a building--the idea behind a church is that you meet to share your trials in your work with Christ and to get raised, lifted up and renewed in communion with fellow Christians.

Only through Christ and through nothing else.
There is no salvation or church without him.
