One would have to ask, who established the order of authority in the catholic church to get a better grasp on the question/statement you have made.

The Roman emperor Constantine made the order of authority in his Roman Catholic church that he created in the 4th century, and many of the rituals and customs and beliefs and decisions that are passed along today can be traced back to that foundation.

The utter hypocrisy of the Catholic church! This whole organization was built on nothing more than a misinterpretation of Scripture! The "rock" Jesus was referring to was in fact Himself and not Peter. Proof; a good Bible concordance will reveal the number of times the Lord Himself is referred to as "the rock"
Little wonder the Lord will destroy the Catholic church during the tribulation for the reasons given in Revelation Ch.17 V1-9.

I do agree with you. Somebody answered that Pope is a man and he makes mistakes. I don't agree with that. As he stands in front of many in the place of God, whatever decision he takes as a church should be under the guidance of Holy Spirit.
It proves that Pope has no Wisdom or mercy of GOD. But he is a hypocrite

Mankind left it out as usual. Why try to blame a God you don't know anything about, for events you don't understand?
