He invited me to a Van Halen concert- front row seats, center.
We had a great time, after the show we went to a bar, he got drunk and started saying some stupid things to me, he told me "u dont want me you should go backstage and hang out with david lee roth, he has money".. i started laughing but he carried on that " david lee roth is better than him and thats whay im looking for" then he got upset and said "why dont u go after him"
I think its crazy, i know he was drunk but i feel this was very weird.
What should i do?
I called him the next day and he told me hes ashamed and is very sorry.

Being drunk is no excuse to talk to you like that. He sounds immature and insecure. You don't need that in your life. He is definitely an idiot. Move on and find a nice guy that will always treat you respectfully.

Well he might have a problem with drinking if this is the normal behavior for him. He sounds like he lacks self confidence to put himself down that way. He might have been looking for you to reassure him of how attractive he is and how however much money he does or doesnt have makes no difference to you. If you didnt fall for the bait then he probably went on and on cause he didnt know what else to do or because when someone is drunk they can get on a subject and just go on and on. You said he insulted you but the things you mentioned in the question only insulted him really. If he is nice and doesnt usually behave this way then accept his apology and move on. If he does it again then I would rethink your involvement from that point. Everyone can be insecure and have a bad night.

Well for one he should have had a little more class then to get that drunk on a first date, even if it wasn't the first date it is still pretty rude. Drinking is ok to do on a date but getting so wasted you make a fool of your self is a big no no lol. I think it is also a bit weird of him to act that way drunk or not. Personally I wouldn't be going on any more dates with him, sounds like he is very insecure. Good luck.

It really common for people to get drunk and make jerks of themselves. And to apologize the next day. So you have discovered that he is one of those people and you don't want to be around him when he is drinking. Make that the rule from now on. If you give him another chance then he is not to drink at all. If he can't live with that then you don't need him.
If he can't have a good time without alcohol then he's an alcoholic and needs to get help for that.
You just dated the guy, you did not adopt him.

I think you should forgive him. I have said very stupid things while drunk, some things I can't even remember.
Sounds like maybe he was losing confidence in himself. David Lee Roth is better than him? At his age?
Anyway, give him another chance, talking stupid when you're intoxicated isn't weird.

I had a simular situation recently. It's their own insecurities and they don't feel like they are good enough for you. It's up to you really if you are feeling this guy or not. Personally if he has to pretty much say that he's a loser after taking you to a concert which shouldn't be happening than something is fishy about that. If he got upset maybe he has some type of anger problem. If you can deal with that type of person...more power to you.

i was always told that a drunk says whats on his mind when hes drunk that hes afraid to say when hes sober....and they are ALWAYS sorry the next day but as soon as they get drunk again the devil comes out once more...and sorry again the next day. Tell him he needs to sober up or David lee Roth is lookin hotter by the minute!

No sweat my friend. He is just your date not someone that u have to live with the rest of your life. Forgive him. I get drunk sometimes I will scold my friends but the next day they will just tell me that I was drunk...
but u should let him know that be careful with who he is drinking with. As some are not as friendly as you. and his enemies might take opportunities like this to hold him ransom...

Ohh nooo just forgive him and move on its just a day ...but mention for him that it hurted you what he had done and tell him this :
1) The consumption of alcohol may lead you to think people are laughing WITH you.
2)The consumption of alcohol is a major factor in dancing like a retard.
