My mom is always forcing me to do things i don't feel like doing: things like using a computer, playing the PS2 or watching a DVD movie or listening to a CD or playing the Gameboy Advance. Sorry about not being specific in the first question.

She sounds like a very anxious parent. You could try building up her confidence by mentioning the good things she's doing, one at a time as you see them. At some point it will enter her head that you are awfully smart to realize these things, and feeling the warmth of your love she'll feel like doing something for you. Get ready to be happy! gosh! you could be serious. I know because I am such a parent myself. I am always telling my son to go out. Reason? He just doesn't go and play. He just likes to sit and write. I feel he should be having more fun. After all he is a kid! And kids are supposed to play! But I don't 'force' him.

Maybe she think you should be doing these things that a lot of kids enjoy. Just tell her how you fell tell her you don't enjoy that but you enjoy ___________ and that's what you'd like to do . Maybe she's just trying to help not noticing she's being forceful. Good Luck ^_^ DJ

Sometimes parents like to think whatever they ask their children do is good for them without knowing their children might like to do those things. I think parents our like to control their children however children nowaday do not like to be controlled.
One way that could solve your problem is through communication. Why don't you try talking to your mom nicely how feel about doing the things that she ask you to do and share we her what you like to do.

Um... my mom always has to tell my little sis to STOP doing those things. Maybe she thinks that you aren't having enough fun, or is trying to overcompensate for something.

She wants you to be the atypical boy....why aren't you? Maybe you should express to her, that just because you do not like to do the things other boys like to do, does not mean you are not happy. Good luck, either way.
