Zakah literally means Cleansing or Purifying. In Islam, Zakah is giving 2-1/2 percent of all your valuables, money, jewelry, what ever you have of value, to a specific cause. This cause is usually taking care of the poor.

nut zakah is to take some money from richer and ok people and give it to the poorest ones
