being moral has nothing to do with being a virgin or having an intact hymen. duh? cmon that's common sense. virgins can be just as immoral as those who are not virgins. and those who are not virgins can be very moral people. just because someone had sex it doesn't mean they are no longer capable of living or being moral.
morals tend to mean, for me anyways, the good deeds and values one chooses to live by. people who have a certain character or personality that is represented by how they live their lives in a just, golden rule sort-of-way.

It doesn't. Most women don't even have a hymen - it's an aberration that has been selectively chosen through time because women without one were often killed in Abrahamic religions. Even if she's born with one, many innocent activities can destroy a hymen.
Anyone who places emphasis on that is simply viewing the woman as a piece of property. Plus, I've known plenty of "virgins" who have oral or anal sex - both of which are high risk practices as far as sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS go and neither of which would be acceptable in Abrahamic circles.
It's ridiculous to even worry about it.

In line with islamic teaching, virginity is sacred.A single woman who has an intact hymen is the strong evidence that she is still virgin and she has not been touched by male.Awoman who still virgin is the woman who has high moral and dignity. If she has lost her virginity she can be accused that she had an adultery. In Islam that woman should be punished by 100 times of beating.,because she has agreat sin.God hates adultery and fornication where the man and woman who related to that action are called bad man and bad woman..God spoke that good woman for good man and bad woman is only for bad man.

Speaking as a Christian, I would say that if an unmarried woman follows the Bible (waits until marriage) that makes her a moral human being. Anyone can go out and just have sex anytime, just look at our youth. Children are having children. It takes more willpower to not have sex then to have it. I am not saying that her waiting and that alone makes her a moral human being. The whole package- following the Bible and everything- makes her a moral human being. Peace

It doesn't. Are you leading somewhere with this line of questioning?
edit: Purity has little to do with virginity. Purity is innocence of character and the willingness to be a decent person. You may have all of these traits and make love to someone that you love and are faithful to, they may become unfaithful through no fault of your own and leave you. Does this make you any less pure? Of course not. Only a fool would denote someone who has had sex before marriage as being impure.

It doesn't. At least not in my view. Someone's morality is not based upon a piece of skin.
But some Muslim women are prized for their hymens.
"Hymen repair, fake virginity certificates and other deceptions, said to be commonplace in some Muslim countries, are practiced in France and elsewhere in Europe, where Muslim girls are more emancipated but still live under rigid codes of family honor."

it doesn't make her a moral human being. it does suggest strongly that she is a discriminating human being.
almost everybody has opportunities to have sex before marriage. some of these opportunites may be with partners who are worth making a part of your life, but most will be with lightweight chancers: people on the cruise.
a woman who is not a virgin may have had relationships only with men she was serious about (but if so: why is she still available). it is more likely she is casual in her attitude toward sex.
a woman who is casual in her attitude toward sex is likely to be casual in her attitude to many other things (politics, the arts, loyalty in general). sex is not the most important thing in life; but it is important.
a woman who is not a virgin but unmarried need not be rejected out of hand, but one needs to be wary around her. there is no reason to suppose she is bad; there is every reason to suspect she may be trivial.
[edit]
medina mentions that muslims are not enjoined to look for virginity in their wives. they have no need to. muslims execute unchaste women as their way of resolving this issue.

Allegory of purity.
Do you understand what is allegory?? or am I as Matthew would say in Matt 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Because that usually indicates that she didn't have sex yet and, according to religious people, that's the most important aspect of one's morality.
