I would say don't go squeezing on her teats or poking around her belly. Just leave her to have a normal life and she should start 'showing' 1 month after her first 'tie' with the male. (which you should have written on your calendar!)
I do NOT think people should Xray pregnant dogs, people say it is so dangerous to Xray a human fetus, well what about Puppies? They are even smaller and more vulnerable!
Another thing to look for is that she may start 'nesting' following the 7th week but you should have already gotten her used to her whelping box or pen or area and you should have it layered with many newspapers, then shredded paper on top of that or old clean towels and/or blankets that can be washed or thrown out. Birth is very messy especially when there are multiples. Nesting means that she will just start rooting around in there like a pig looking for truffles and just allow her to do what she wants in there, it's her way of letting off stress and following her instincts. Just do not allow her to think your bed is the place to do that.

The easiest and cheapest way (vets are expensive) is to go to the dollar store or 99 cent store and buy a cheap home-pregnancy-test kit. Read the directions so you know what to expect and how to perform the test. This usually involves holding it under a stream of urine. Well, when you take out the dog to pee, just hold the test strip under the stream of urine. If you don't want to get splashed with dog urine on your hand, cover your hand with a disposable glove or use a large zip lock bag that covers your hand comfortably. Wait the allotted time as indicated in the instructions and voilá. You'll have your answer. These tests are quite sensitive so it should give you the right result. Hope that helps. Keep us updated!

A vet can do a scan from about 28 days into the pregnancy. You maybe able to feel in her tummy something that is like small golf ball. Also a clear sign if she has gone off her food or being very quite within herself

This is gonna sound so rude but here it goes (gets ready for thumbs down)
Q:How do you tell an irresponsible owner?
A: If their dog is pregnant.
Unless you're a certified dog breeder you should be desexing your dog because all that's going to happen is the puppies are gonna end up in a pound eventually being put down anyway. If it's not pregnant, get her desexed for the good of the world.
