Yes. Its not my main instrument of study, but I play enough to get by!

Yes. I first learned to play from 11 drawn chords on a sheet of paper. From that, I learned how to read and write music during a year of Vocal in high school. That was in 1956 and I'm still playing.

A chord book having music notation is a must if the fledgling guitarist wants to improve.

get a book a guitar or get a course, you must get it first, and than still learn again and again .
