i wanna marry him. he always tells me whenever im ready he wants 2 be married...btw hes 21. the thing is i feel weird to be engaged so young and the first one in my class...i wanna wait till at least one person i know my age is engaged before i get engaged....is that a really bad reason 2 wait. or do u understand?

uhm i am outta high school... and at first i didnt feel ready and i told him that...he was fine with that but lately i really wanna b with him and marry him but its just so weird 2 be engaged so young and the first in my class?!?!

I think that secretly you just don't feel ready and you need to admit that to yourself and to him. That is the REAL reason you want to wait.

When you are facing this question consider the consequenses.
Most people just look on the bright side like YAY im marrying a hot guy/girl. dont...im sure there are PLENTY of good looking guys/gals out there that are better for you. Look at your financial first too. Are yall ready to get married? is YOUR life stable? can you deal with having kids yet?(that is IF ur planning to have kids)
and no you dont need to wait for someone to get married before you can get married. What if your friend isnt married until shes in her 26ish...then you wait that long and prob missed out a great marriage and a happy life? dont make decisions based on friends instead base the question on youself.

It sounds like you want someone else to announce it first so perhaps they could have all the flack for being so young and engaged and when you announce it, it won't seem as bad? If you feel weird being engaged so young, maybe you should wait awhile before officially becoming engaged, perhaps when you get out of high school?

Look who cares if you are the first one in your class to get engaged. You have got to do whats best for you in life and ifit feels right and you do feel that he is the one and your happy then do what you think is best, don't go getting engaged if you don't want to. Do it because it's yourlife and it is what you wnat to do and it feel the same way that this guy obviously does about you.
If you wait until someone else does or in anything else for that matter you might be waiting on forever and you may even lose this guy or things in the future.

Its a bad reason. Marriage is not about age actually if you really love him and he loves you i don't see a problem getting engaged. But if u feel that your too young and still want have more fun before you get married it would still be acceptable for your age now.
