Yes, it was because my Mum and the other women in the family all had big families. I didn't want to turn out like them.

I had a vasectomy at 21, and my girlfriend had her tubes tied at 25. My best friend had his vasectomy at 25.
I have many Internet friends that did the same. I also belong to a Child-Free club full of couples that did the same.
I have at least 8 co-workers that did so. They are all married or committed to members of the opposite sex.
In the USA, one in five couples do this. I also know the numbers are higher in Europe.

In australia you cant get your tubes tied unless you have 3 kids or your over 30 so you either have to use birth control or keep ya legs shut

i havent but my 21 year old friend already got her tubes tied and said it was cuz she didnt have the "motherly gene"
