no one can really tell you that. do you mean religions still being practiced or does it matter if they're extinct? there are still very primitive paganistic religions being practiced by isolated indigenous people all over the world where they still worship anything that has any bearing over their lives. I suppose sun and by extension celestial worship came first and then soon after, ancestor worship and i'm sure there are still people out there who adhere to these beliefs.

none of this really matters anyway. at some point i'd like to think we as the human race will get past this religion nonsense. here's to hope!

Define "primitive"? All of the indigenous religions I know of are more civilized than the Abrahamic religions.

Most of the violence in the world really started about 4,000 bce. Read Saharasia by James DeMeo.

If you mean earliest, or original, then there's the Mother Goddess. I'm with Her.

Need better definition of what you mean by "primitive"...

Primitive in terms of old and believed by primitive people?
Or primitive in terms of the "level" of thought or belief?
And primitive "compared" to what?
What are the defining "characteristics" or "standards" or "basis" for being primitive?

If you did not provide that, you are asking for "prejudices" based upon what someone personally believes as his/her religion.

I think Islam is very locked into ancient, redundant ways and needs to catch up to the 21st century.
