You need to get the track rules they are all basically the same for safety!!! BUT--- In order to pick out a Car to build and race you need to know the tracks rules for Minimum wheelbase--engine-carbeurator-intake manifold-exhaust restictions before you can make your choice. Also if the frame-engine and rear ends must match the manufacturer of the car bodies. Or if they can be mixed.--Transmissions if you can use direct drive or do you have to use a torque converter or if a Manual is allowed. This will help you determine class!!!! Hope this helps!!!! Just finished my 32nd year Of driving Sportsman Class Stock Cars I race againt Monte Carlos--Cutlasses--2 door Caprices--Delta 88s- Ford Thunderbirds!!!!

Depending on what sancion/rules you have at your track, will determine what you should do. Most people do not like the olds for some reason or another, In WISSOTA you cannot run the olds or pontiac block. why, i dunno.....but the monte carlo is the choice for street stock/superstock cars. I.M.C.A. stockcars are a great class of cars. I work at a dirt track here in Wisconsin. Best of luck in your quest.
