i have liked countless guys because of how smart they are simply because intelligence attracts me. if he's good looking then all the better..just wanting to know how many others feel or have felt the same way at some point in their life?

Oh I have. A pretty face can only fascinate for so long, its whats in the depths of that person that will keep you interested. I need someone that can carry on an intelligent conversation more than I need some eye candy trying to figure out what I mean when I talk about String Theory vs Neo-Darwinian Theory. But if those things are found in the same package...I'd never let him go, lol.

Uh huh. I had this lecturer in my first year who was possibly the most effortless intelligent man I'd ever met. He used words that I didn't know anyone in my age bracket knew existed, he spoke like he thought in poetry, and I was so attracted to him it was insane.
We flirted a little, but it was obviously a bad idea so nothing ever transpired, thank goodness.
But intelligence is a huge turn on for me, my fiance is a major history buff (half way through a degree in history, but dropped it to join the army, but put that on hold to be with me... how bad do I feel?) and when he talks about it my knees get all wobbly lol.

a guy will deserve my second look if he is intelligent. i would never notice a guy unless he has brains. only then i will realize.. hey this guy has the looks, has the personality... after i fancied him because he has the intelligence to go with it. all my crushes were what you can call the cream of the crop, and the top honors... which is kind of weird, because I end up not really the intelligent one, but I can say streetsmart and well-informed of the tricks of the trade. we are now on our 10 month together..

uh huh uh huh uh huh !!! i have my bf right now is one of the smartest people i know (dont tell him i said that) we argue all the time whose smarter i'm studing to be a lawyer so its nice to be able to have an in tellectuall conversation wit the person u love and its even better to have an interesting argue that gets my blood pumping since we both wanna be right so is intelligence attractive hmmnm... i've never found anything else that urns me on morel lol

intelligence is number 1 on my list of standards.... got to have a guy who could carry a good conversation that is mind stimulating.

I would not date a guy unless he was intelligent. I need more than gooe looks and a good body. It just stands to reason that if you are going to spend any length of time with someone, you should be able to communicate intelligently with them.

Oh yes!! I do agree with you. You can come across a gorgeous man, and then he speaks to you. Looks are not all what they seem, it is nice to talk with someone who has a bit of a brain too. It is very attractive to me as well. It just goes to show how bright you are as well.

Intelligence is very attractive, even a guy isn't super hot, he starts to grow on you if he has a good head on his shoulders.

Yah, I was really into this guy in high school that got a perfect score on the Math section of the SAT, H-O-T. He was super cute too. ;0)
