I called this girl whom I hadn't seen in a two months. Anyways, she called me saying she misses me, and it got me thinking that I kind of miss her too. So I called her back a few days later asking if she wanted to do something in the afternoon. She said no, she couldn't that she was busy. But she asked me to call her later that night.

It felt like she was blowing me off, so I didn't bother calling her that night. She must've realize I was a little upset because she texted me saying "Lets go for dinner next week".

Was she really busy? Didn't want to see me at that time? Or just plain blowing me off?

I agree with Erik a couple answers before me.

I figured this little "rule" out a couple years ago, and it's saved me a LOT of wasted time/heart ache. I used to almost need a girl to hold up a giant neon flashing sign that said "I WANT YOU TO ASK ME OUT!" Luckily, life experience has made me a little better at reading signals.

The whole key is if she re-offers up another time to go out or not. If she wants to blow you off, she'll ONLY say that she's busy and that's it. If she's in fact still interested in hanging out with you, but really does have plans for when you first asked her to do something, she will suggest some other day or time.

Hope this helps.

Call her back ASAP since you didn't call her when she wanted you to, get that date, and good luck.

Of course she was.. don't take things so personally! If she asks you to call her back later that night than she wants you to get back to her. If she just said not now without giving any future date for when she's available, then you MIGHT be able to assume she's blowing you off. But you should still not take offense even then and give at least one more shot.
If she says no but offers a time later when she's available then she's def. not blowing you off. Especially if she then texts later and then asks you to go out. Don't take things so personally... you're supposed to be a man.

If that's really his job and his work hours, then he's probably busy. How much time for texting does a person have if they work 20 hours in one day? He'll spend the next day catching up on his sleep if he can. I don't know about everybody else, but I'd find a new date pretty damn annoying if they insisted on being in touch all the time, especially if I had heavy demands at work, and they wouldn't last long with me.

I'd say she was busy.

Especially if you asked her to do something the same day that you called her. She doesn't have time to plan it, and it's likely she already had something.

The fact that she called you later asking for dinner makes me think she was definitely just busy.

Just trust her that she was busy. She said to call her later that night, and you should've. She texted you saying "Let's go for dinner next week" because she really does want to see you, but that night may have not worked out very well since it was unplanned.

Go out with her next week. You may enjoy it.

She was probably busy. She wouldn't have asked you to call her later if she was blowing you off.

You are an idiot. Did you really expect her to blow off any other plans that she may have made before you asked her out?
