Yes but a lot of the bliss is in the journey. It's the light you know...........inner light, outward light, how do you feel?

Yeah in Buddhism it's like there are different meditations are each has an affect on the mind. Regular meditation can change the mind substantially so after a few months it can seem like you are at a different place then you were before. in this sense it is a bit like travelling or going on a voyage. I don't know if this is what you meant but anyway...
In some ways I think it is like travelling in the old days. Explorers use to go long distances for years, come back, tell stories of fantastic lands and great cities, and everyone would not know if they were telling the truth or not. Buddhism is like this! It can take a long time to change, but when you do you can have amazing experiences. However most people haven't been there themselves, so they don't know. They think you are just sitting quietly.

I think some of the most important ones have to be. You have to know who you are, what you believe, and what you love- that all comes from knowing yourself.

All good journeys begin and end "within".
"Know thyself"-- Socrates. Difficult to try, but worth it. Because "the unexamined life is not worth living."
Wherever you go, there you are!

"Its all in your head."
That's what I was always told by my Dad.
You can go wherever you can imagine. That's how books work.
