The love for your children or your spouse or your partner makes you understand that there is a God........
I read here once "I see the God in the eyes of my children".
Or is it just an illusion that belongs to love more than to religion?

It depends on how you define 'religious'.

If you are saying that love can make you aware of your connection to something greater than yourself, then of course it can.

religion is about faith in something you don't understand. You don't really understand the love you have for your children, but you know it is there. Religion is much the same. You don't understand it, but you know it is there. Take a lot of the atheists on this board. If they don't believe in anything, then why are they here. If God or whatever doesn't exist, then why bother trying to explain why He is, or isn't here.

Religion is man made. The Holy Bible holds the truth.

God is love.
