Kosher deals with laws of foods and the way they are prepared. The basic ideas were advanced in Leviticus. For mammals, only those with cloven hoof and a ruminant stomach can be consumed, such as cattle, lambs and deer. For birds, only those who do not hunt prey or eat carrion can be consumed, such as chicken and turkey. For fish, only those that have scales and don't eat waste can be consumed, such as trout or tuna. Shellfish are forbidden. Moreover, the animals must be slaughtered by severing the main-artery to the head in one swipe. The animals must be bled and salted prior to sale . Those who do the slaughtering hold rabbinical degrees and have taken specialized training in proper butchering techniques. . Mammals and birds that are consumed cannot be eaten at means where dairy products are consumed. Fish is neutral. Thus, you have bagels, cream cheese and lox, where lox is smoked salmon, but you would be able to have bagels, cream cheese and hamburger.
Strict adherants to Kosher laws keep separate plates and utensils for dairy and meat meals.
Al Halal is probably the laws of food in the Muslim faith. Basically, what is Kosher is allowable in the Muslim diet, and a good part of Kosher food sales are to Muslims in the US.

Kosher means that a food is clean for humans to eat. There are requirements set forth in the bible that tell which foods are kosher. It's a Jewish term. Al-Halal is food that is permissable for humans to eat. It is a Muslim term.

Both words mean that the food was prepared according to Islamic teaching and Judaistic teaching respectively.
The Kosher is more austere.
for example muslims& jews forbid blood eating,so when muslims & jews alike, slaughter an animal they make sure that the blood is drained completely while jews furthermore, soak the meat in water for an hour at least to make sure that there is no blood inside the meat's tissue.

Halal is an arabic word .. its used in islamic religion.
Halal means what God made lawful in Qur'an or hadith .. like [2:187] Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. .. as for Mubah it means something that is not forbidden by God in Qur'an or hadith.
So Halal what God allowed in Qur'an or haith.
God says:
[16:116] But say not for any false thing that your tongues may put forth, this is Halal, and this is Haram, so as to ascribe false things to God. for those who ascribe false things to God, will never prosper.
The difference between 4 and 5: 4 is still lawful but it's better to leave it ..
Makruh , you are rewarded if you leave it for the sake of God, but doing it is not forbidden.
Haram is completely forbidden.
"Halal is clear and Haram is clear; in between these two are certain things that are suspected. Many people may not know them. Whosoever leaves them, he is innocent toward his religion and his conscience. He is, therefore, safe. Anyone who gets involved in any of these suspected items, he may fall into the unlawful and the prohibited. This case is similar to the one who wished to raise his animals too close to a restricted area, so that the animals may step into that area. Indeed for every landlord there is a restricted area. Indeed the restriction of Allah are the Haram." (Sahih Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
