Well, first off, it depends on how old the kitten is. If she was seperated from her mother too early, not much will help until she gets used to not having her mother. [10 weeks is a safe age to seperate a kitten from its mother]

another thing is that kittens are like babies [minus the screaming, breast feeding, and diapers.] they need to play a LOT. the best thing would be to get another kitten close to her age so they can play together. Keep in mind, they won't love each other at the start. I adopter a cat that was 6 months old, he had a close friend at the fostor home but we didn't adopt him. We later wanted another cat and adopted his close friend [who was 6 months old and our first cat was now 7 months old] and the younger one was territorial and mean. they eventually ended up being friends again, so don't be too worried if a new kitten isn't nice at first. if one cat ends up getting injured, however, they may not be perfect for each other.

Cats are nocturnal creatures (active at night), and contrary critters to boot.
Not much you can do other then banish her from the room by closing your door. I'm pretty sure a vet won't prescribe anything...

I suppose you could keep your bedroom door closed to her at night. However, when I tried that my cat was scratching at the door every morning, making it rattle....lol. It takes some getting used to, that's for sure!
