How much does a root canal cost? I live in Houston and a dentist is charging me 1155.

Any programs I can use to get a cheaper price? Poor college student here.

Thanks!

I have gotten a root canal 7 years ago and it cost my parents, $600.00 each. I had to get a root canal on two teeth. Your best bet is to call and asked the dentist. But don't count on the root canal because even if you get one, it lasts for 5 years. As far as the procedure itself, the only thing I remember is the x-ray, numbing, closing my mouth on the drill because I was half sleep at the time. Other than that I do not know.

Depends on your insurance. Here in Mass it cost about $1,400, but with my insurance it cost about $200. The price sounds about right.... Do you have insurance?

It's definitely something you want to do right away and with a good dentist, you get what you pay for. If you don't get it done asap you can get an absess and it's not fun! But you get to miss class for a day or two if you whine alot.

Sometimes though you can go to a dental college. They are always looking for volunteers (trust me, i'm a dental student!) I think it's better tho, because you have like, 5 dentist there at all times and the students are skilled enough that they won't kill ya :)

Dental schools are cheaper if you can find one in your area. I live in NYC and see a dentist at New York University and a root canal with a crown is about $900. They do excellent work.

FOR JUST DOING A ROOT CANAL $1,155 IS A BIT PRICY, EVEN FOR A SPECIALIST.
IF THIS QUOTE INVOLVES THE ROOT CANAL + CROWN THIS IS REASONABLE.
