I know if you don't drink enough you will be dehydrated but is there any way to drink too much water? How do you know when it is too much?

yes you can, in fact there have been some deaths associated with too much drinking of the water

It would have to be ALOT of water but yes. Water intoxification is real.
I usually drink about 15-25 glasses of water a day and I haven't died yet so it's probably more than that. Then again if you are holding it rather than making those trips to the bathroom you will most likely speed things up. Which the Wii competition was about who could hold it the longest from what I heard so it's not like it was a normal everyday situation.
I heard that someone actually did call in during that contest and warn them about water intoxification before the individual died. Shame they didn't take them more seriously. =\

As distorted said, you can get water intoxication which can kill you. The lady he was referring to died....why he thinks that's funny, I don't know. So, yes, you can drink too much water.

As long as you keep going to the washroom...you can't have too much water.

Only if you drink an insane amount in a short amount of time, will there be a serious problem

yea, you can get water intoxification. some lady got it last year after a hold your wee for a wii competition on a radio station. the dj's were fired, and the lady left 2 kids. sad, but kinda funny.

you would know when you die. if you drink wayyy too much water for your body to handle, it causes osmosis which causes the cells to explode

absolutely not. water will flush out of your system properly. water is good for you, it is one of the few known substances we put in our bodies.
