Starving yourself is the single worst thing you can do. You need to eat 1200 calories a day. Any less, and your body will think it's starving and begin to conserve fat. In other words starving yourself slows down your metabolism, and eating speeds it up. You should break that 1200 calories down into 5-6 small mini meals, rather than 3 big ones.

If you dont eat enough every day your body will go into starvation mode. You will have to eat less and less and then when you start to eat a little again you will gain weight really easy and fast. The best way is to eat breakfast for sure because you will burn more calories through the day. Eat often. Like something the size of an apple or cheese and crackers. tuna salad. Throughout the entire day. Dont starve! walking is great though, great fat burner

First you'll get the brown bottom blues(if you know what I mean) second all these answers you got are right, starvation will work for a little bit, then you either get sick or weak or both.Your best bet is to eat sensible, the usaul amount of water will suffice(6-8/ cups a day)but the walking will eventually change you metabolic rate and you will burn calories.I used to walk six to twelve miles a day for awhile, and during that time(I was broke by the way,it helped.I had to walk) but I lost about thirty to forty pounds for those six months.

Um...you will end up dead!
There's no reason to starve yourself. I did that when I was 16 and ended up in the hospital. It's not good for your body. If you go too long with out eating, all of your major organs will start shutting down.
What price are you willing to pay to lose weight? Frankly, if it will cost you your life, the price is far too high.

no, but it will help you die. you will be dead if you only drink water for 3 months. starving yourself does not make you lose weight faster. your body goes into a "starvation mode" and actually stops burning calories because it thinks it's starving. the best way to lose weight is to exercise and eat more.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

It's a great way to lose weight but once you get to the point of complete starvation, you will just gain it all back, so you might as well just do some good dieting and exercises

no not a good strategy. eat a lot of lettuce .. vegies ... whole wheat products . you have a very expensive body that can't be replaced .. give yourslef the best quality fuel. good to drop the extra weight .. but you want 2 lbs a week. slow but steady wins the race and is best for your skin . lots of water is great ... but eat some good food in between . allow yourself a little treats on sat and sun . go harder / more restrictive during m - f .
