We all know how many gullible people can be mislead by charismatic cult leaders, into doing the most ridiculous & sometimes unspeakable things just because "the master" told them to do it as they communicate directly with God. Why then, considering how easy some people are to convince, did Noah get NONE of his fellow people, except for his family, to get onto the ark? Sounds like he didn't really try very hard. Maybe he didn't want his personal space to be invaded by non-relatives?

If some guy tried to lure me into a giant boat in the middle of the desert, I'd think he was a rapist or something of the sort.

Well in the day of Noah the people were all wicked all over the earth. And God found favor in Noah. Noah tried every day to convince the people what was about to take place. The people were just blinded in sin and did not believe God could do such a great thing. They all had the time to believe what Noah said, but they didnt. But when the rains came and God had closed the door. It was just too late for them to believe and have faith in what God could really do.

That's how bad things were. You and I can't imagine NOBODY believing him, yet that's what happened. People were seriously messed up. More so than they are today.

Noah preached for 120 years and in the end saved only his family.

ummm, these stories are lessons. you have to learn to read between the lines..is this your first time reading something in the bible. let me just go ahead and tell you that all of the stories were of a different time.

Have you ever heard of the Farmers almanac..nearly all ancient cultures depended on guidance from above..the stars. in genisus chapter one, it actually says God gave the stars to man for that reason...he could have easily obtained his information the same way..forecasts from the stars...That's what Nasa does.

Well acording to the OT Yaweh/Jehovah/Elohim had a tendency to harden the hearts of those in opposition to his prophets so that they could not see um... reason. I know, I know. That opens the door to another deep question.

He knew that having too many people on the Ark would have upset the Stegosauri.

Sure he did, just like the folks on the Titanic made sure their lifeboats were packed as full as possible before abandoning ship.
