It's difficult to pinpoint it because during Noah's flood there were massive changes to the earth. It's possible that it's under water now.

Taking into account all of the global disclocations, which occurred as a result of the flood, the present location of the Garden of Eden might be found just east of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, on the Mount of Olives.

No wonder Jesus often prayed there, and seemed to like the place better than almost anywhere else.

This is also the place where Jesus ascended to heaven ... and where he will someday return.

Lots of interesting stuff was known to happen there in old testament times as well (see Jacob's Ladder, Jacob wrestling with the Angel, etc.)

Two of the four rivers mentioned in Genesis still exist today. They are the Tigris and Euphrates. The Garden of Eden could have been anywhere in the vicinity of Iraq or Iran.

I've hear the Persian Gulf(the bottom of it, not the surrounding area). I heard a good argument for it, but I can't remake it entirely.

Basically, after the last ice age ended, this lush valley was flooded by the rising sea levels. Four rivers emptied out through it and two still empty into it. The other two dried up.
