I've been kicked off this website more times than I can recall, and mostly because I've offended religeous types.

Before you boot me off again, I would like to know if it is in anyway possible for a religeous believer, or whatever you guys call yourselves, is it possible for you to give a straight answer to ANY question ever posed?

I was raised as a Christian and I gave up the faith because not one single priest could answer any question I had about the Bible. I've since stuck my nose (where it wasn't wanted) in about fifty other holy books, and I've talked to pastors, priests, gurus, shamens, rabbis, hiaundas, etc etc and not one of them has ever been able to give me a straight answer about anything.

I was just wondering if it was possible for a person who believes in any diety to give an answer that isn't:

a) a quote from their own holy book

or

b) completely nonsensicle.

Your hatred is both anticipated and appreciated.

Mat 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you!

Psa 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

I try to give straight answers every time - well, unless the question strikes me a funny, either intentionally or accidentally, and that does happen a fair amount. The only time I quote from the Bible is when I think it appropriate - either someone has asked about the Bible or they've asked what Christians believe about something. I'm sorry you've been kicked off. I'm tolerably sure it was YA who did that. I am no fan of the YA moderators - I pretty much think you could get the same results with a random number generator. If you haven't been violating the TOU, then I think it's clear you've been targeted by one or more of them. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about that short of buying Yahoo and firing them.

Hmm. There's a thought...

You deserve to have your questions answered. The reason why persons can't answer your questions is because most of what religions teach today is not from the Bible, but is from philosophies and teachings from ancient civilizations that have been absorbed into their church.

Have you asked one of Jehovah's Witnesses? Send your question to jann_johnston@yahoo.com and I'll try to give you an answer. Best wishes, Julie

Note I received your e-mail: You misread my answer. You DO deserve an answer to your questions. I replied but my message didn't go through. Try again, Okay?
Here's what I sent you:

Regarding your question,"What if you're wrong?" This is easy to answer. I'm wrong every once in a
while. There are no perfect people, and there are no perfect organizations. Right? But the Bible is perfect. It is the word of God and Jehovah wrote it with human penman under inspiration. Despite Bible critics, it does not contradict itself, and it has been proven true when it touches on scientific matters. Prophecies have come true though written thousands of years in advance. It's guidance is superior to human wisdom. We can depend on the Bible because God knew what the world would be like today and gave us direction to lead lives in a way that would help us avoid the pitfalls. And best of all, it tells us what we must do to meet his requirements for life in a paradise new world just at hand. That is when the real life will begin. Wouldn't it be nice if we were neighbors there?

Sorry, I don't have any hatred to give you. If you were actually asking a question, I would give the best answer I could, and try not to be nonsensical. But somehow, I think that you would find any answer you disagreed with "nonsensical". I sincerely hope you can find a way to resolve your bitterness toward believers. And I for one am not interested in getting you "booted off".

I don't have enough knowledge of you to "hate" you. I also have enough knowledge of myself to love you.

Are you asking a question here, or feeling self-pity because you haven't asked a question?

Faith is a belief in a thing you can not see, or touch.

The rules for English grammar are clear. Can you learn to spell and thereby present yourself as an educated person who's asking questions worthy of the other's time?

God is real. let me get that straight first.
well look around in nature.
there are forests. and trees. and leaves.
and plant cells.
one plant cell is more complex than new york city.
the human eyeball. such a complex thing.
it's impossible that it couldve just evolved through the years.
and evolution is false. there is nothing that proves it correct. if you have even one thing that proves it correct, i'll deny my religion.
my email: anne_aznchic@yahoo.com

God is real. there has to be a designer. we couldnt have evolved from a rock.

i hope that was a straight enough answer for you.

Did it ever remotely dawn upon you that either you do not know how to ask an intellegent question or/and do not know how to listen to someone. Crooked questions get crooked answers. I suspect that no explanation about any of these things will suffice for you.

What exactly do you mean by completely nonsensical?

Maybe... some things that theists believe are unfathomable to you because you don't agree/ believe what they believe.
I'm not religious but I know many Christians who claim things that make absolutely no sense in my mind; However, I still respect their beliefs because I expect them to respect mine.

Well, I do believe in a deity, and I don't have a religion or a holy book, but I can't promise not to be nonsensical!
