Invention of science and modern mathematics. beginning of new era in medicines!

Muslims are most credited with Algebra. The so called 'father of algebra' was Muslim, but I can't remember his name. They had a brief renaissance between about 900 and 1100 AD where they did accomplish some good things. Some people credit them with inventing Zero, but that is false, that was actually a Sanskrit development.

I would argue that their flourishing in culture that you saw in that time was actually carry-overs from the cultures they had invaded and conquered. Because after that you have a long thousand year decline that takes us right up to the present day and where it's only getting worse. Islam is openly hostile to progress and modern ideas. If fundementalists actually got their way and were able to bring the world under the yolk their religion it would send us into a catastrophic decline similar to the fall of Rome and the Greek Dark Age.

They saved the bacon of Europe. (Sorry about the pork pun but I can 't say the right word). Plus they gave us Al Kharismi the father of algebra and lots of other things besides giving us back the knowledge that was lost which they had recorded and kept in libraries.
