Tony IS pretty good but JIMMIE JOHNSON just passed him in career wins and he's had 3 fewer seasons in the cup series! If he wins the championship again this year he will also tie Smoke in championships plus he has been the runner up twice, never missed a chase or finished worse than 5th in the final standings. I agree that Tony should get some wins for Toyota next year and probably make the chase again.

I do agree that he can defently drive anything that has wheels on it, and has championships to prove that he is a hell of a driver, and it would be foolish not to agree that Toyota will see victories now with Gibbs fielding the cars next season.
However, when he speaks his mind, he acts like a spoiled brat. The caution flag thing earlier this season is an example. The situation that he was in was probably not a good time to speak out about it, since he was suposedly screwed from the victory. Not only that, especially a few years back, when he threw way too many tantrums.
Other than that, he is a hell of a driver.

once I grew to become a Jehovah's Witness an prolonged time in the past, I gave up smoking and that i were as much as two packs an afternoon. I gave it up at 18 and approximately 22 I fell away and smoked back for some twelve months and then gave it up completely. I even have bronchial asthma now (not from cigarettes-i did not smoke long sufficient.) i will in basic terms think of the hardship that i might have if I nonetheless smoked.

ok so my 2 cents... although it is probably not wanted...
first off you make it sound like the only drivers that have fans are Stewart, Johnson and Gordon.. interesting
next.. sure he can drive anything that has wheels on it... but so can I!
and as for Smoke.. he is full of hot air and I think he has had his turn and is going down hill... and moving to Toyota next year is NOT going to help his career.
oh and the smoke sausage comment was great... i LMAO for about 10 min before i could respond!

He is awesome because he climbs the fence after he wins the race. He doesn't take crap from any body . He can drive anything, he will do great in a Toyota . He gives all the drivers advice, when they need it. He has won the Nextel cup. He has a great personality, but watch out if you make him mad. He is like around my step dad's age , so I can relate to him. He is a great driver!! Go Smoke!

Smoke has my respect, not only as a driver but a person. He is no afraid to speak his mind, no mater what the cost. Freedom of speech is a truly costly gift; especially when disagreeing with the NA SCAR officials.
Yes, he has a short fuse, and every one knows it. I believe that if he can keep focus on the race and not let his temper cloud his judgment when racing, he will be even a better driver. Awesome, YES!

I think Smoke is awesome because he has a passion for the sport of racing. He can race anything! He doesn't have "cookie cutter" answers to every question that is asked and he doesn't grant every interview. He can be funny and he can be serious. He cares about his family, friends, fans and people that he doesn't even know. He's a great guy who loves to put on a tough appearance. Go Tony Go!

Smoke sausage? Ha! That was a good one.
I just think he is just a great driver who speaks his mind and there is nothing wrong with that. The dude wants to win all the time and I think that's what it takes.

thats my driver man. Tony is the real deal, like it or not. and yes even though i think ALL the cards are stacked against him next year, he has proved he can drive the wheels off anything.
...oh yea, and id rather see Smoke get mad and curse and hit people after a race than see tears well up in Gordons eyes and get that quiver like he's about to cry cause he came in 3rd or whatever.

I will agree he can drive anything--he came to one of the local tracks I run at in 2005 he drove the #20 J.D. Buyryder Late Model. I only got to shake his Hand and talk to him for a few minutes--He was swamped by Fans with Pit Passes. The Track Operator said it was the most Pit Passes sold in years!!!!
