will adding a set of stillen headers to my non turbo 300zx really give me that much more horsepower. It is a 1994 300zx without the turbo and i want to know if its worth the nearly 500 dollars to purchase them. I would like to see at least a 12 horsepower gain. Will that be reasonable to expect that and does anyone else have a set of stillen headers or heard anytthing about them on the 300zx

Sound alone will make you smile. Do headers only if the stock exhaust is also being replaced. If you live where you can delete the cat converters even better. Remember you will want a dynometer tune and other modifications. If you look around you may still be able to find good header options elsewhere.

Headers, as long as they are well designed (like I'm sure Stillen-brand are), should give a serious increase in the motor's ability to exhale and therefore should increase horsepower. Of course, it all depends on the rest of your exhaust setup, but i don't think 12 crank horsepower is an unreasonable goal.
