You answered your own question. Not really bread ready, huh. Give them another day or two. Banana bread is best when made with very ripe bananas. Of course, you can use the bananas, the bread just won't be quite as sweet as with nice ripe bananas.

my mom always made the best banana bread with bananas that were slightly overripe! just a little brown and the bread came out so delicious!

It just won't be the same. Put the bananas in a brown paper bag and close it up. This will ripen them much quicker.

you can but it's not as flavorful because the sugars are not broken down yet... if you want to ripen it fast, stick it in the refigerator... for some reason it makes the brown really fast!
