I hate to see Hasek in net it absolutely kills me, just rips me in half. I agree he WAS the best player at one point of his career but cmon now give the position up and call it quits. 7 shots on net and 4 goals in the second period, they were not challenging shots, 2 were five hole, the other one was a classic Hasek thought he was in the 90s and was flopping around like a fish but it hasent worked this year or last year. Dont know why he still does it?? Howards supposed to be a promising goalie, so why not give him a chance? I know im going to get ripped on by RedWings fans or just fans of Hasek but what do you still see in the guy?

Mike- Lol it is a joke, I would probably take 28 starting goalies right now over him.

Wings Fan- lol i had to. I thought he was going to come out and show the NHL that he deserved the starting job, but he didn't impress me.

I knew what this question was going to be about before I even clicked it. But I have to agree, his play has been AHL at best so far this season. Hopefully he comes around soon, and starts playing the way he still can. I know he still has something left in the tank, his playoff performance last spring wasn't a fluke.

Nah, any Wings fan will tell you that they prefer Osgood over Hasek. You are right. He is too old to be playing hockey. How could he have allowed FOUR goals in one freaking period? I celebrated when Babcock decided to pull Hasek and put in Osgood after that fourth goal. Osgood should be starting not Hasek. It really pisses me off when he does that!!! I can go ballistic right now!!!

I think Hasek is a good goaltender, but he is on the downswing. He'll play some spectacular games this year, but progressively fewer then before.

I'm just wondering who that one starter is that's worse than Hasek, since you said you'd take 28 starters over him. lol

aaaa its the master stradegy. let hasek flop around get hurt but keep ozzie as rested as possible as long as they keep a lead in conferene. come playoff we got fresh unhurt osgood in mid season form (spliting time has been favorable for him in the past after all) rather or not this is true this is what i keep telling myself when i see hasek in net.

I don't mind starting Hasek. Its his style. When he's on he's on. But when he's off, everyone gets on him. He had a horrible game today, I won't deny that. I didn't watch the game, but I saw highlights of the goals and yea they were horrible. But when Dom's on, he's really on.

Well he is the 2nd best goalie in the NHL according to the NHL central scouting report made by the GMs and professional NHL scouts. Can you believe that? What a joke! lmao
