I do all of the above plus lasagne, mexican food, egg rolls, roast, rice, all sorts of stuff. I like to have a good healthy meal every night for my hubby and kids. But I am a stay at home mom who has all day to do this. If that is what your question is asking cause i'm not sure. Ah well, you do bake pies. You do grill steaks. But you can fry steaks, mash potatoes, bake potatoes, fry potatoes, bake bread, make salad. It is such a silly thing to fight over though.

cook is all engulfing, baking, frying, roasting, and even basting is all cooking. You are correct. However if I were to venture I dont think you bake a turkey I have always heard of it as cooking a turkey, good luck on the battle.

"Cook" is an all-inclusive verb for preparing something to eat, mainly requiring heat. "Cook" is also a noun for a food preparer.

to grill, to bake, and to mash are sub categories to "cook"

Your question is better suited for the "genetics" category.

All women possess a unique genetic trait that has been identified by researchers and aptly named the "you are a man and will never please me no matter how hard you try" gene.

It's very scientific and you best not fight it. Even Adam couldn't get Eve to listen to him.

I know there is a correct way to say certain things...but does it really matter? What a petty thing to get riled over.
