OHHHH SH**!!!! That's me! OMG. I thought I was being nice. Oooohhhh god. Someone told me I was curt. Now I gotta go FIX it. Like that won't make things even MORE awkward.

I've had something sort of like this happen....except.

She never got to my door. We never even got to *meet in person*. I had arranged a date and everything online, we got along great in email and instant messenger...and she wanted pictures.

And in my enthusiasm, I didn't think really about it, so I snagged a cheap camera from a friend and just took a few pics of myself in my casual clothes. Bad idea.

Apparently she didn't like how fugly I was in the pics, because she just up and *vanished*. Took a powder. Wouldn't even say hi, bye, anything to me. -_- And the thing was, I did warn her on many occasions, that I was overweight, that I was plain-looking in real life....and she still freaked and left, without saying a word.

This messed with my head and made me feel terrible about myself for some time. -_- It sure darkened my view on how much I can expect when it comes to anything *online* ever being real offline.

But yeah....I've sort of been there, and it sucks. Rejection always does. But at the same time....at least you two met. At least you had the decency to say "No thanks" and not just leave without saying one word.

Still, I'm sorry to say this, but you could have been a *little* bit more tactful. Yeah, I know there's circumstances, so it's forgivable, but yeah, guys have feelings too, we have expectations too--so yeah....it might be a good idea to handle things a little bit differently next time.

I hope this helps....and sorry if this is bad news or a bit of a wet blanket. -_-

I can top that. Was in a bar, I asked her to dance. She replied, "I'm not that hard up!"
