Yes hi my girlfriend is currently 3 months pregnant and is unemployed but searching at the time for a job oppurtunity.I would like to know the steps of going about to getting approved for section 8. Also the pros and cons of section 8.

Basically, you need to go or contact the local housing authority in your county or city for an application. It is based on household income and savings which varies from area to area. Your rent will be 30% of the household income. The only bad side is there is a limit to how much you can own or have in savings. There is a self sufficiency program to help you towards becoming independent though. However, in some areas of the country, the waiting list is closed.

what is the limted to get approved for section 8 if i work part time and my boyfriends work full time, also we have four kids. how do it work by are income tho thanks
