Just do it. He'll like it but first let him make the move!

Your kiss on the cheek is appropriate since you are just best friends and nothing more.It is apparent though that you want more from him like a romantic relationship(or else your hormones are in a raging mood).I suggest that you first determine if I am correct about you wanting more.If I am correct, then you need to find out how he feels; if he wants to change the nature of your relationship. If he does ,the kissing part will happen naturally without you feeling nervous. If he just wants to remain your best friend, then say nothing and go to the way things used to be.Personally, because I am an incurable romantic, I hope he wants to try being your man. Good luck.

well guys usually make the first move....if he likes you back then wait for him to make the move. If you want to kiss him really bad but you're too shy then i would tell him that. If you tell him that you're nervous that will make him a little more comfortable. That's from personal experience. If i were you i wouldn't worry about kissing..It's not a big deal....Good luck!

You just gotta go for it. It will be a little scary but worth it. I was very nervous for some of the best kisses I've ever had. Just do it!
