FreeCycle.org, Goodwill, or your local furniture store, perhaps even consider taking out an ad.
FreeCycle is an organization that helps match those who wish to donate items to recipients, usually on a first-come, first-served basis - most are local community boards (you should be able to find one near your area with a quick search)
Goodwill - often accepts furniture donations, and resells them at little cost. Sometimes, they get their donations from stores, as I mention next.
Your local furniture store - its becoming quite popular for a furniture store to offer a free pick up service for those who purchase new furniture, and wish to donate their old. Often a store will work with a local charity group, like Goodwill, or United Way. Even for those stores not involved in local community support like this, you may find they have, or can keep an eye out for, furniture that a homeowner no longer wants.
Local advertising... anything from newspaper to community websites.
Good Luck

Check your area to see if they have a freecycle.org. if you can't find donated ones check out a local Habitat for Humanity, you will have to buy it but it will be cheaper than new and if you look close you can usually find some that are in good shape.

Check with the local churches, they have lots of members who would probably be willing to donate.
