HA, I know exactly how to stop it. To many politicians make being a politician a career. It was never designed to be that way. It was designed so that the members in that specific duty of service to the people were "of" the people. You wanna stop political corruptness then get a bill passed that says no politician can make more than the average military guy. As a US Marine I make less than minimum wage and I do it while laying my life on the line to protect my nations government. Lets make all those 6 figure income politicians live off the average $24,000 a year that we make in the military and a lot less politicians will make a career out of it.

Of course Americans are afraid of their government... people would rather not get in any kind of hassle or trouble then do the right thing. I do not think it is a step towards a dictatorship, rather, as a giant history buff, I see it as a part of the beginning of the inevitable fall of the United States. Yes the govt. should be afraid of it's people, and most other countries are. The US however is too inactive, and the only revolution that will eventually occur will be the splitting up of the states into smaller soverign countries.

You've been watching V is for vendetta again haven't you? If not do so, it's a good one.

Google10 steps to dictatorship.
Naomi Wolf wrote a fascinating piece for The Guardian that outlines the well-proven process for moving from democracy to dictatorship.

If you then check out the Bush administrations presidential directives over the last 7 years you'll find that he has already put all of these in place and all he needs is a large natural disaster or another 9\11 magnitude attack inside the country to implement this completely unAmerican maneuver.

To find two of these Google The White House which should give you the official site below called;
Welcome to the White House

When you get there type in one of these two directives and decide for yourself what they mean.

NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/NSPD 51

HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/HSPD-20

The only successful relovolution is the one that takes place in your head and heart. Governments are even more faulty than people. It is not the government, it is the principles that are ruling the day. At the moment, there is a sense of hopelessness in America.
Violent death rates are going up. People are following the Government lead and using guns to solve their problems. The love of money and the excitement it can buy is driving us and blinding us to the realities around the block and the world.
The American Government is being held hostage by a chickhawk named bush.

Well some people in our government have lost their fear of the people.

But we don't need a revolution we just need term limits on people like Ted Kennedy (for example)

There are so many who have been in Washington for so long that I cannot believe they are doing us any good there.

We set term limits for our President, why not congress.

And trust me the fear will return.

We need to vote for Ron Paul.
He is the only hope out there of returning our country to it's Constitutionally framed government.
If we vote for him, we will have put everyone in the government on notice, that we are not satisfied with the way things are being done in Washington.
Look at what he has to say.
I think that if more Americans would do that, we would begin to see hope again in our country.
