CNN host Lou Dobbs faced a boisterous protest Monday at a book signing in San Diego, a local CBS affiliate reports.Activists accused Dobbs of prejudice against immigrants because he supports the controversial Minuteman project, a militia-style group seeking to prevent illegal border crossings. “He is, without question, a racist,” said one protestor at the San Diego campus of the University of California. “He is against the Hispanic people from everywhere, especially Mexico.”http://www.truthnews.us/?p=807

Illegals accuse everyone who doesn't support their criminal activity of Racism.

On a lighter note, shouldn't all these "hard working, law abiding, undocumented workers" be at work on a monday rather than at a protest against Lou Dobbs? Guess Not!!

I on the other hand was at work Monday, paying the taxes that help support these low-lifes.

It's not fair to describe this man, Lou Dobbs, as a racist. Some people might don't like his hard-position about the Illegal Immigration issue and they use "racism" to try to stop him. Lou Dobbs has some good point of views about the middle class, in its show he always gives some great idea to force the politicians in Washington to think differently when it comes to the people of the middle class.
It's certain that Lou Dobbs is really against Illegal Immigration in this country as every great American as well. His position is clear and he's ready to take any fight when it comes to this issue, he's ready to face anything to end this mess here in America.

But unlike some people in this forum Lou Dobbs, an educated man, never said to deport all undocumented Aliens because they all are criminals.
The reality doesn't prove all those undocumented Aliens are criminals and also, they're not solely responsible for the crimes in America.

This really is not a hate mail because I think that if I hated people I would of already had joined you guys but that’s not what I wanted to comment on. Just wanted to give you all a little reminder where all of you came from the MAYFLOWER (remember) you too are immigrants just because you were born here doesn’t make this your land this land belonged and still belongs to the natives and part of California and Texas belonged to Mexico also why do they only secure the Mexico border ?? Why are Latinos the target? Why not Africa? Or Asia? Or Western and Easter Europe? Or Middle Eastern for instance. Besides come on are you “American” really going to go out there and do the jobs that this people do like work picking up fruits or “factories” aka sweat shops, nannies, cleaning houses, hotels, doing dishes in restaurants etc. I really don’t thinks so I was born here my parents were born here even my grandparents were born here my great grandparents came from Mexico and I still don’t consider that this land belongs to me when people ask me were I am from I tell them Mexican and Colombian I’M PROUD TO BE A LATINA. Because of the values Latino family teach their kids and the work ethic they pass along to every generation. And to all the Latinos that are in that thing come on some of you also crossed the border just because you have a piece of paper saying that you’re an “America” doesn’t make you one remember your roots and where you came from come on I understand the so called “Americans” that came in the mayflower (the whites) but you please you’re a disgrace to every Latino do all of us a favorite please don’t call your selves a Latino and to the ones that were born here someone along the line had to suffer and cross the border for you to be here. ALL OF THEM ARE JUST A BUNCH OF INGNORANT IDIOTS if they really care about this country they should go over seas and fight for this country not the people that are looking for a place were they can have a better life and freedom just like their ancestors. It's time for the new generation of latinos to stand up become successful and be in the goverment and take over. PLUS COME ON THERE IS NO WAY THEY ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO STOP THEM THEY WILL STILL KEEP ON CROSSING AS LONG AS THERE IS STILL A NESSESITY AND A DREAM.

Lou Dobbs is just a talking head whose only expertise is in finance. He has said whatever it took to get ratings and, despite being married to a Mexican woman, positioned himself as some kind of neo-fascist far right wing nut. His cowardice is a bad thing for all rational Americans struggling under the tax burden of illegal immigration because it sends the message that violence works. The Basta Dobbs campaigners who so proudly shot at his house are from my neighborhood. They openly compare themselves to Castro and Guevara and speak of an armed revolution that will "get the Anglos out of California". Thanks, Lou Dobbs, for being such a pussy that you emboldened a terrorist group.

I never watch him, but he's probably not a racist. The protestors are probably definetely stupid, since he married a Mexican, and I seriously doubt he hates ALL MEXICANS!!!!

Most of those who call him racist are race baiters. There is a high chance they are racist as well. They base there statements with little information they got, and many of them are erroneous and they also project charesteristic on to him with out evidence. These are charecteristic of a racist..

They thing I hate the most is how much the word racist is thrown around. I lectured to some of my "Pro" friends here, that you should not call him or other people on this site "racist" THere is no evidence of it. Like when the Hispanic Caucus called him racist, and latter found that he is married with a Mexican and live with her family, they are humiliated and now there words are diminished, because it is found that they speak with out doing their homework. I told my friend that Hate monger is a better term, if you wish to slam people. This insult has a lower standard of proof, and it's basically a matter of opinion. Like I said, I never saw his show, so I can't comment on his accuracy of what he said.

I don't think if you are against illegal immigration you are a racist. This is not a black or white issue - it is very grey and to accuse him of being a racist because he is against illegal immigration is wrong. However, that said - there are many who are using illegal immigration as a cover for the racism.

Good Luck!!!

Don't think he's racist, just freedom of speech. He is against anyone hurting the country and that includes both parties. He did make the statement that they are idiots in congress. So he is not a racist about the Hispanic or any other people, too much of a gentleman and smart for that. Take care.

Why do illegal immigrant activists accuse anyone of being racist? Because that person is not willing to give America to felons on a silver platter. They think uttering the word racist over and over again (ad nauseam) will sway public opinion in their favor. What they fail to realize is that their tactic is both trite and transparent and thinking Americans will shut them down invariably. Truth be told, they tend to squawk TOO MUCH about race and it's obvious that they are the ones who have issues about it, not patriotic American citizens.

PS

I know many black Americans who wish these people would shut the hell up about race and deal with the real issues at hand.

These people tell us that it is not JUST mexicans that are illegal aliens, and with their next breath they call us a racist for demanding that our border is secure and to deport those whose crime warrants deportation. Well if it is not JUST mexicans then we really cant be racists can we? Not to mention, regardless of whether a person has racist views, demanding that all illegal aliens get deported is actually correct. Just because he/she is a racist does not diminish the sentiment in this particular matter.

I don't know Lou Dobbs personally, but I don't believe that because someone objects to illegal immigration makes them a racist. That is childish name-calling.

There are many valid concerns regarding illegal immigration regardless of race, creed or color. My chief concerns are:
1. It allows employers to pay a less-than-living wage. If they can't afford to pay their workers a living wage then they should get out of business and go get a job.
2. It allows employers to exploit illegal workers with unsafe working conditions. Illegals are very unlikely to object.
3. I makes a mockery of law. If we are to have a civilization then the rule of law must be paramount.

And there are many, many others which are entirely "colorblind". There are a number, like #2 above, which are concerns to the well-being of the immigrants themselves.
