Okay I asked this question before but I really need a answer She adopted me 4 months ago since then she has never gotten angry or tried hit me until now, today I had to call home from school today because I got into a fight she didn't sound mad on the phone she actualy sounded calm.Well I thought everything would be okay since she didn't sound mad on the phone but as soon as I got home she was sitting on the couch with her belt so as soon as I saw the belt I knew that it was on she didn't even ask why I got into a fight she just kept on swinging she didn't stop until I ran upstairs then about 2 or 3 hours later I came down stairs and notice that she had left for work and left a note on the table that read "Hector I have gone to work and will be home at 1:00 A.M. do your homework eat dinner and get in the shower I will see you in the morning love Mom"so of course then I felt really relived to know that she left for work why would she do all that and not even listen to what I had to sa

I really hope this belt beating didn't go on for two hours!! Maybe it just seemed that way, I know when I was young and my parents were spanking me or yelling at me, it seemed to go on forever!! If it did happen the way you say, you should talk to an adult you trust. Now, you need to try and think about your mom's point of view. I don't know if she has other children. If not, she didn't know how to handle the new situation and she needs help. If you speak to an adult, maybe they can arrange a meeting with your mother and go over some potential Parenting Classes. I hope all goes well for you and your new mom.

DO NOT DO WHAT these other people have said .Do not tell the principal ...I am not saying what your mom did was right...I would never use a belt on my kids but talk to her but do not report her because it will cause for you to be taken away and she could get in trouble.Talk to her and tell her you would like for her to talk to you

How old are you / Go to your schoolcounseler and tell him exactly what your mother did to you Its not because she adopted you that she has the right to belt you and she has to know right now that you will not tolerate any physical abuse Tommorow go see the principal and ask him to see the couseler

maybe you should tell a counselor at your school about what happened. Your mom handled it the wrong way, she should have spoken to you first.

she didn't want to know. She is an abuser and doesn't care what the reasons are for. Tell an adult you can trust.

i guess she might have been angry and stressed out that you got into trouble.she might have just needed sometime to calm down.
