Please ignore Sway_27. She has chronic diarrhea of the mouth.

You would need to find out what tribe his grandfather was, and then find out what the blood quantum (the fraction of Indian heritage) the tribe requires. You would need to know the grandfather's blood quantum to figure this out.

OK, your son's, father was the son of a soldier who's /grandfather/ was part indian? Or your husband's grandfather was part indian?

Assuming the latter, your son is '1/4' Japanese, no more than '1/16' indian (possibly less), and 3/16th whatever else your husband is besides 1/2 japanese - and 1/2 whatever you are.

Most tribes want you to have at least 1 full-blooded great-grandparent, or otherwise something around 1/8th - and that's of the tribe, not just generically 'indian.'

I'm guessing your son gets nothing for his tenuous native-american heritage.

Do you mean Native American?
Did your son’s father have tribal papers?
Below is a website that lists ‘Nations’ in Okalahoma.
I would suggest drafting an e-mail with as much information about you son’s father and grandfather. You can leave out the Japanese wife; it’s irrelevant and quite confusing.

You will need his grandfather's name and tribal affiliation to begin the search on that particular Indian tribe's role. If his grandfather is not registered, he will not be eligible for benefits.
