I have a cubbie where i am putting my microwave. Do I buy a countertop or built-in model?

I am concerned about the venting.

Usually, the built ins are for over the stove and attach to your cabinets. I'd say a countertop type would do.

Mine is in a cubbie also and I love it that way. I've had it that way for over 10 years now with no problems.

Countertop would be fine. I have the same type of setup.
