...or do you think that it's going to have to stay at one-syllable words to do the job?

Swift wings - of course it is - but THEY don't know it ;-) Where would we all be without doing something floccinaucinihilipilificatious once in a while, just to blow off steam?

Don't you think it's interesting, that so many of the nay-sayers are assuming that I'm an atheist?

Oh, dear, Anna. I'm only a member of Mensa with my 145-point IQ. I guess the two undergraduate degrees and the work on my PhD can't stack up to your 8 years of school. Oh, wait.. it can...

And I'm STILL not an atheist...

Tsk, tsk, wired. STILL with these assumptions. I'm not an atheist; scroll up.

After some of the responses I've received, I'm more and more convinced that it's going to have to be one-syllables. Damn. And I thought MAYBE...

Why do you think that we don't understand atheism? I bet we understand you more than you understand us! I can totally understand not believeing in God, can you understand believing in Him? Of course you can't! You consider us to be weak, brainwashed, delusional, uneducated, etc. I don't believe any of those things about anyone just because of their belief system. I am so tired of the insults! Insults come as an attack when we have nothing better to say or can no longer defend our point of view. Atheists, who claim to be the most intellectual, logical and reasonable of all of all the belief systems, are actually the most INTOLERANT of all of the groups on R&S. You get upset when we mention hell, yet you have assumed that we are all condemned to a life of ignorance and insanity. I wonder if you truly know any Christians at all or if you only go by the words stated in this forum. Are there some fanatical Christians? Of course, their are fanatics in every group, but only Christianity seems to be defined by the fanatics, while the rest of us are condemned to live in their shadow. No thter group seems to have this phenomenon. Even the Muslims are tolerated and treated as a group that is misunderstood because of the radical interpretations of a few. How many times have you heard that Islam is a peaceful religion, yet Christianity is supposedly the most violent religion in the history of mankind. I am not asking you to believe what I believe. I am not here to convert you. I am here to share with other Christians that have questions about our faith and to try to get others to understand where my point of view comes from and how and why I believe what I believe. I should be able to do that without being labeled because of my beliefs.

Mmm...well, I'm a Christian and I have a high IQ, and have eight gone to college for eight years (three degrees), including an Ivy League school. Like all groups (yes, even atheists), we come in all kinds of colors, intelligence, dispositions, personalities, and rudeness. Perhaps if we stayed with the YA premise of asking real questions to solicit real answers we could all get along and have a bit of respect for each other.

UPDATE:
I was only pointing out that I have a brain and can put monosyllabic words together to make a sentence (BTW I beat your IQ by one point, but who's counting). There is as much or more diversity within each group (Christians, Muslims, Atheists, Jews, Agnostics, whatever) than there is across the groups. Your jibe was mean and ill-informed, that was my point.

I'm still not sure I get your point--you know that all sorts of strange people will respond to a post like that. Are you that hard up for validation?

Your lips are just like a scarlet thread, and your speaking is agreeable. Like a segment of pomegranate are your temples behind your veil. Your neck is like the tower of David, built in courses of stone, upon which are hung a thousand shields, all the circular shields of the mighty men. Your two breasts are like two young ones, the twins of a female gazelle, that are feeding among the lilies. “Until the day breathes and the shadows have fled, I shall go my way to the mountain of myrrh and to the hill of frankincense. “You are altogether beautiful, O girl companion of mine, and there is no defect in you.

Wow! I am not Christian or Religious in the least but if this is how religious people act, then I am happy not being a part of it. It's called Human Kindness and I do not need a religion behind me to know that you are being very rude and generalizing to a very large group of individuals. It's called Racist and you are being it against Christians.

LMAO! You're cracking me up - and so are the others posting answers.

Perhaps you are correct, we wouldn't want to overburden their delicate balances.

Rikirail -that would work for both sides, if only more could actually spell. Sadly, and I'm sure you'll find this to be true if you look, the poor spellers are more often religiously inclined.

I am debating with myself as to whether your inquiry is aimed at getting a rise out of someone or if you might just be the product of related parents.
